What Is a VR Arcade? Goldsboro's Newest Way to Play!

Looking for something new to do in Goldsboro? Play Dates Academy just opened a brand new VR Arcade, and it's quickly becoming one of the most exciting things to do in Wayne County. Whether you're local to Goldsboro or coming in from Kinston, Selma, or Smithfield, our VR Arcade is a fast, fun way to spend 30 minutes.

Now Booking: Fridays & Saturdays, 5–8 PM, starting September 25th.

What Is a VR Arcade?

A VR arcade lets you strap on a headset and step into a fully interactive digital world. Instead of watching a screen, you're inside the game, moving, aiming, and reacting in real time. It's one of the most immersive ways to play available today, and now it's right here in Goldsboro.

What to Expect

Every VR Arcade session runs 30 minutes and includes your choice of one longer game or up to three shorter games. Our team fits your headset, walks you through the basics, and stays close by in case you need anything. No experience necessary; just show up and play.

Who Can Play?

Participants must be 10 years of age or older. Children under ten (10) years of age are NOT permitted inside the VR Arena at any time, including as spectators.

Got younger siblings along for the trip? We offer on-site drop-in childcare, so the whole family can come even if not everyone is old enough for VR.

Perfect For

• Friend group hangouts

• Date night (pair it with our drop-in childcare and make it a full night out)

• Team outings and get-togethers

• Anyone looking for something new to do in Goldsboro

How Much Does It Cost?

A 30-minute VR Arcade session is $20 per player. Looking for a longer challenge? Our VR Escape Room runs $27 for a 60-minute session — check it out here: https://www.playdatesacademy.com/post/vr-escape-room-goldsboro-nc
